Hey Newgrounds! Here's a life, webtoon, Pico Day, and more update.

I was pretty much gone from the site the first chunk of the year mostly due to training and competing in a Muay Thai (Thai Boxing) fight in March. I didn't get the W but fuck it was fun! Look at me.

Anyways, this past month I started releasing Astromon! Webcomic. A Webcomic I've been writing for a long time, and working with @brebrz who made beautiful artwork for it! Originally I wanted Astromon to be an animation, but after I realized I'm not a billionaire, I went the web comic route. Also, for my first attempt at a story this feels like the right thing to do.

I'm also hosting a PICO DAY WRITING CONTEST with a MAY 5th Deadline.

You still have a couple days if you want to write something!

Look out for a goofy cartoon I wrote parodying Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon with animation by @scottwjsm and many voices by @voicesbycorey! Coming soon!

Finally, in the next month of two, I should be starting the 5th Dr. Good's Operating Theatre Animation Collab!!!

Overall, I hope to make more stuff this year. Also... Newgrounds needs a Webcomic portal.

@Rannitx and I are starting our 4th Halloween Animation Collab Dr. Good's Operating Theatre 2022. It's always exciting to see what weird animations people make!  

YOU CAN ANIMATE ANYTHING THAT IS WITHIN THE HORROR GENRE. 

• Gore/violence is allowed. Horror Comedy is allowed. Creepy Sci-Fi is allowed.
• NO PORN. sorry freaks.
• NO MEME LOW EFFORT TOONS. 

DEADLINE- September 24th. (Let me know if you need an extra day)

ANIMATION LENGTH- 10-90 seconds. (if it’s a little longer/shorter we’ll probably be okay with it. Just ask!)

Yo Newgrounds! The last couple months have been wild.

I hosted, did sound and music for a HALLOWEEN COLLAB! The 3rd consecutive Dr. Good's Operating Theatre which made daily 1st, weekly 5th, was front paged and turned into a beautiful ass banner. Thank you to whoever did that!

I voiced the insufferable fetus monster in my great friends toon which is partially in the Halloween Collab but the full version is here on Youtube ----> Sugoi Spooksters.

I had a great learning experience releasing the Astromon! Teaser and setting up an Indiegogo which I talked about on the The Newgrounds Podcast (my first time on a podcast!) Still figuring out how I will make Astromon! happen but very grateful for the support I did receive.

Late last month, I did last minute sound for a Madness Inspired Animation. I think it turned out pretty fun.

ALSO, I have 374 fans on Newgrounds which doesn't seem like a lot but means a lot to me! Thanks for following!

I love Newgrounds - it’s crazy how many people I’ve collabed with from here.

Lately, I’ve been swamped from helping animators write their skits for Dr. Good 2021 Collab, starting new work as a Personal Trainer and Youth Muay Thai instructor, and attempting a Indiegogo for the first time.

What I’m most excited about and what started as a Pokemon Genre Parody for one of the Newgrounds writing contests hosted by @Fro

I've been writing these characters and story for about 2 years. Crazy seeing it public.

The main point of the story is to ridiculously reflect what it looks like when older generations tell younger generations "they are the future" and "it's up to them to save the world" at the same time. So, here is a Shonen Anime "Hero's Journey" story that follows mentally strained and damaged young people. (Hey look it's me!) I know that's the point!

Logline: When a Yakuza clan’s powerful Asteroid Crystal is stolen, and the highest ranking Lieutenants are devoured by Supernatural monsters, the boss sends her reclusive son, his Rental Sister, and unstable friends to find it.

I’m writing this on a train sorry if I don’t make a lot of sense 😅

Thanks to everyone who helped bring Tom Fulp's very truthful and fact oriented backstory to life. That was a ton of fun to make.
